Webinar: Anxiety: Experiencing God’s Rest in Anxious Times with Executive Director Wes Tubel

Tuesday Sept. 29th 1:30-2:00p (No Charge) More information and registration here

At some point, all of us encounter anxiety. Some of us battle it everyday. The reality is that life offers all sorts of reasons to be fearful and anxious. All that we have encountered in 2020 certainly underscores this reality.

But fear and anxiety are not the end of the story. Over and over again in Scripture, God gives his people reasons to trust and rest, in the midst of our anxiety and fear. God invites fearful and anxious people to come to him, and experience the rest he alone can provide.

This webinar will provide you with rich biblical perspectives on anxiety and equip you with practical strategies for addressing this common struggle.

Join us as we explore what it looks like to experience God’s rest as we navigate life in anxious times.

Situations of abuse generate a wide range of emotions—from outrage and a demand for justice, to fear, shame, and disbelief. It can be challenging to respond well. But when abuse is brought to our attention, we must work hard not to respond based on emotion or personal bias. We should act wisely, justly and deliberately. Doing so is not only a legal mandate, but also is a moral and biblical one as well. This seminar will explore ways the church can both prevent abuse and respond wisely when abuse takes place.

Every child and every family is unique. Julie Lowe will share from her personal and professional experience, and together discover how gospel-centered application, rather than formulas for the ideal family, equips us to be experts at knowing our own children so we can know Scripture and live it out personally in our homes.

Gospel-centered Change Course with Executive Director Wes Tubel
Tuesdays from Feb 11 to Mar 31, 2020 6:45p-8:45p

This February, we will begin an 8-week course that will orient us to life as God sees it, change as God does it, and comfort as God provides it. What does biblical, heart-focused change look like? How do we avoid quick fixes or pat answers, that do not bring about lasting fruit? How do I better understand the tailored mercies Christ promises to bring to my specific moments of need? This course will help us better understand life as saints, sufferers, and sinners, and how the gospel brings about fresh applications in daily living.

Gospel-centered Relationships Course with Executive Director Wes Tubel

What does it look like to live in genuine Christian community? God has created us for deep and meaningful relationships. On one level, we all desire to be known and to really know others. Yet we also are tempted to hide parts of our lives and stories.

  • How do we take relationships below surface-level interactions, and talk about all that is going on in our lives?
  • How do we avoid handing out pat answers or Christian cliches when our friends or family share where they are struggling with sins and sorrows?
  • How do we walk side-by-side with one another, making wise, helpful connections between the truths of Scripture and the specific places in our lives where life is difficult?
  • How do we offer wise, loving, and helpful counsel to one another?
  • How do each of our relationships strengthen and grow so that we live out authentic, gospel-centered community?

This six week course will explores these questions and more through a combination of in-depth teaching and personal application. The Gospel-Centered Relationships Course is ideal for anyone who wants to grow in being a better friend, spouse, parent, small group leader, mentor, or counselor. In short, if you routinely interact in any way with other people, this course is for you!
