Counseling

We provide Christ-centered, and biblically based counseling for individuals, couples, and families. Each of our counselors has received masters-level training and are equipped to counsel a broad spectrum of life’s struggles.

We will take time to understand the particular details of your story. Our hope is for you to encounter the tailored mercies of Jesus Christ in the midst of your particular struggles and sorrows.

Hope Counseling Services intentionally aligns with the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) model of care.

“This counseling has been so different. I found sincere compassion and a genuine desire to team with me and share the burden, and lovingly confront lies that I believed and sin that snared me. Hope has reoriented me to a right view of myself before God. Hope helped me see God’s greater good even in the midst of my tragic story. I’m learning to trust God being with me in the hard places and what it truly means to lament. To cry out to God doesn’t mean to complain but to be honest with him about our losses. Hope has taught me to not stop there but to look for Gods promises. Hope Counseling Services has been a gift from God, helping me see my story isn’t over yet.”

We are not a clinically-based intervention team; therefore, if you are currently in crisis (suicidal, homicidal, manic, etc.), please call 988 or 1-800-273-TALK.

How much does counseling cost?

HCS operates on a contribution basis. We ask that those who come for counseling invest in their own counseling by contributing financially to Hope Counseling Services for each 50-minute session of counseling and according to your ability.

Our suggested contribution ranges, based on the comparable-market-value for counseling in the Chapel Hill-Durham area:
$85.00 to $125.00 per 50-minute one-on-one session
$125.00 to $150.00 per 50-minute multi-participant session (e.g. pre-marital, marital, family counseling).

Hope Counseling Services does not accept insurance.

As a ministry, we do not want our suggested donation to be a financial hardship for anyone. We are willing to work with you and explore options to help make counseling financially feasible.

If you have questions about our financial policy, please speak to our office administrator as you are setting up your initial appointment for more information (919-636-5972).
